Your Private Label Concept: What do I want to make? What benefits I want to provide for the customer? What will the daily dose (intake requirements) be? Do I have the information for label design that complies to regulatory standards? Do I have the information for nutritional supplement panel that complies with regulatory standards? |

Your Formulation: Do I have the list of all ingredients? Do I source or have the manufacturer source the active ingredients? What quality and cost thresholds that I define and balance with cost? What inactive ingredients (excipients, colors) that I need to make this formula work and to be made easily? Do I want to include overage of actives to ensure stability?

Dosage form: Do I want tablets, two-piece hard gel capsules or soft gels? What size capsules (e.g., Size OO (largest volume), O, 1, 2, 3, 4 (smallest volume)? What size tablets (e.g. ½ inch (largest round), 7/16, 13/32, 3/8, 11/32, 5/16, 9/32, ¼, 7/32 inch (smallest) and what shape (round, oval, shaped) or form (hard, soft, chewable)? Any printing/logo on tablet? Do I want the tablet coated? What color (natural or synthetic), clear, sugar, moisture barrier or pH (enteric) coating? |

Stability and Quality: What sort of test results do I need to ensure quality (active ingredients and how many, label claim, overage, room temp stability, accelerated stability, disintegration, dissolution, microbiology)? |

Labels: Do I design and print and provide the labels? Do I need assistance? What colors, graphics do I need? What is my packaging run volume? How many labels do I print (minimum, cost, setup cost, compatibility to packaging line)? Did I proof read and approve labels (for text, regulations, colors) before printing? |

Blister Packaging: What size cards, number of pills per card? What film? Stability issues? Blister box design? Regulatory standards? Additional issues (as in labels above)? |

Bottle Packaging: What color and size bottle? What color and size and type cap (easy dispense, child proof)? Dessicant? Cotton/Rayon? How many pills/bottle? Inner seal? Expiration dating? Sleeve (neck band, full body)? Case label? Case packing? |

Shipping and Invoicing: Where do they ship (drop, retailer, location)? Regulatory information (interstate commerce, MSDS, CofA, shipping temperature)? Terms of payment? Partial shipment, partial invoicing? Recourse on late payments? Reorder points and issues? |
